The School of Economics is delighted to invite our graduate community to the spring Alumni Mixer! This event will be an exclusive opportunity for you to network and socialise with your fellow alumni, as well as with current Economics students, over refreshments in a friendly and relaxed environment on our Clifton campus. The winners of this term’s two student competitions (Economics debate and meme competition) will also be announced at this time.

You are welcome to attend earlier in the afternoon to support our current students in the finale of the Economics debate competition. Please arrive between 4:30pm and 5pm to watch our students go head-to-head and display their skills of persuasion and their Economics knowledge, debating whether a comprehensive wealth tax be introduced to reduce economic inequality in the UK. You can also view the submissions for our student’s Economic meme competition and vote on your favourites.

There is also the option to arrive from 6:20pm to attend the alumni mixer and watch the students receive their awards.

Event schedule (timings may be approximate):

• 4:30 PM: Arrival & Meme Competition Voting
• 4:55 PM: Welcome address
• 5:00 PM: Student Debate begins
• 6:20 PM: Alumni Mixer and Award Ceremony
• 7:30 PM: Event ends
