Bristol Connects Live: Careers in EU Affairs

Are you interested in working in – or finding out more about – the EU institutions? Do you want to know what it’s like working in EU affairs and get advice on how to get there yourself?

Hear from five alumni currently working across the EU institutions and other organisations in Brussels share their career journeys so far, give insight into their current roles, and offer advice on working in EU affairs. By joining you will also learn about what the EU institutions do, how they work, and the other organisations and stakeholders shaping and influencing EU policy. There will be plenty of opportunity for you to ask them your questions too.

Speakers include:
  • Adam Bowering, MSc International Relations
  • Astrid Helferstorfer, MSc International Relations
  • Dimitris Soutzoukis, MSc Environmental Policy & Management
  • Martin Penny, BSc Chemistry & PhD Organic Chemistry
  • Theresa Mörsen, MSc European and Global Governance
This event is open to students and recent graduates (three years out and less).

Please note: there are nationality and other requirements for working in the EU institutions and EU member states including Belgium, the practicalities of which we will not be able to cover in depth in this webinar. Please see the general Eligibility Requirements for the EU institutions and advice on non-EU nationals working in the EU as a starting point.

Event organised in collaboration between the Bristol & Bath Brussels Office, the Careers Service and the Development and Alumni Relations Office, as part of the Bristol Connects Live series.
