CACH member, Dr Anna Pease, supports guidance for early years settings

CACH member, Dr Anna Pease, supported the development of new, more detailed, guidance for early years settings to require them to follow safer sleep advice for infants in their care.

The campaign for change was led by Katie and John Meehan, the parents of Genevieve, who was killed in a nursery setting in 2022. The campaign was supported by The Lullaby Trust, where Dr Pease is the Chair of the Scientific Advisory Committee.

The Government has confirmed it will update the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework to strengthen safer sleep requirements across England, meaning it will be written into legislation and law. Find out more about the campaign and the new guidance here: https://www.lullabytrust.org.uk/about-us/our-campaigns/campaign-for-gigi/
