The Veterinary Pathology unit is part of the Bristol Veterinary School. The members of staff teach pathology to veterinary undergraduate students. Pathology is taught across several years and the pathology staff teach final year students in the core and elective rotations.
The Veterinary Pathology unit provides histopathological services for research and teaching. Our pathologists also provide diagnostic histopathology and post mortem expertise for Langford Vets. The well-equipped histology laboratory (which is shared between Langford Vets and the University) also has facilities for histochemistry and immunohistochemistry. Academic pathologists and laboratory technicians collaborate closely with a wide range of research groups both in Bristol Veterinary School and across the University and other organisations.
