Specific learning outcomes will depend on the institution selected and the units studied. However, it is anticipated that students may also benefit from the following:
The opportunity to broaden horizons and be immersed in a new and exciting environment.
Teaching will depend on the host institution and the units selected.
Assessment will clearly depend on the host institution and the units of study selected. We think it unlikely that they will encounter an entirely new form of assessment while overseas, but to the extent this happens we see this as part of their new learning experience. Students will be expected to select units of study at a level equivalent to 120 UoB Level I/5 credit points and choices will be overseen and approved by the School Study Abroad Academic Director. Assessment results from the host university will be translated via the University’s mandated Marks and Credit Conversion system, with oversight from the School Study Abroad Academic Director.
Dependent on the host institution and the units selected.
