Post-16 activities

Bristol offers a range of opportunities to students taking A-levels or equivalent to help them make their decisions about university.

Many of our post-16 activities focus on giving students a taste of what it is like to study at university, giving them in-depth experience of the teaching styles they may encounter and the subjects they may choose to study.

We run practical sessions on topics such as the UCAS process, student finance and student life, as well as visiting careers fairs within schools. If you would like us to attend an event you are hosting please email schools-colleges-liaison@bristol.ac.uk.

Subject and introduction to university talks

Our teaching staff are passionate about sharing their knowledge and are available to come to local colleges and talk to students on a range of topics.

Talks are free, complement the national curriculum and give an insight into university study. They are pitched at an accessible level and are extremely popular with both teachers and students.

Students in Schools

We provide students to act as classroom assistants, peer mentors and post-16 tutors as part of our Students in Schools scheme.
