Registration opening information

Students starting in 2017 / 2018

If you are starting your studies in the academic year 2017 / 2018 please register below. 

Students starting in September 2018

Registration is not open for students starting in the academic year 2018 / 2019. You will be able to register closer to your start date. This page will be updated later this summer.

You need to register:

  • Online - before you arrive
  • In person - when you start your course

Register online

Completing registration

  • You need your student number or your UCAS personal ID, family name and date of birth
  • Check your details are correct
  • Confirm your acceptance of the Student Agreement conditions
  • Create a password, keep it secure until you have memorised it
  • Print out your Certificate of Registration (and your Pre-registration checklist if applicable)

Register in person

You need to register in person with your faculty as soon as possible to confirm your attendance and to collect your UCard and other documentation. Contact your faculty office to find out when they are open.

Bring these items with you:

All students

  • a print out of your Certificate of Registration

International and EU students

  • a print out of your Certificate of Registration
  • Pre-registration Checklist

Pre-registration checks - EU and international students

All EU and international students need to attend a pre-registration check before registering in person to have their qualifications checked. All international students (non-EU) need to have their passport and visa checked.

  • EU students: visit the Admissions Office, at 31 Great George Street to complete the pre-registration checks before registering with your faculty. Admissions Office staff will be available Monday to Friday, 10am - 12noon and 2-4pm.
  • Non-EU international students: visit the International Student Visa Advice and Compliance Team on the ground floor of Senate House, Monday to Friday, 10am - 4pm.
