International students: Getting to the University

There are lots of ways to get to Bristol, however, we want to help you as much as we can on your journey and make sure you feel welcome. We recommend you book your travel so you can take advantage of our Arrivals Service.

Travel on 15, 16, 17 September

Our Arrivals Service is available on 15, 16 and 17 September. A team of Student Ambassadors will be available to help you when you arrive at certain locations and times.

The Student Ambassadors will be wearing white T-shirts with red sleeves and holding University of Bristol signs.

If you are flying into the UK, we recommend the following airports.

We can also meet you at the following times and locations.

Complete our Arrivals Service form

You must complete our Arrivals Service form so we know to expect you.

Travel from 1 to 14 September

We do not run an Arrivals Service during this time. However, we still recommend you arrive at Heathrow Airport, Bristol Airport, Bristol Temple Meads or Bristol Bus and Coach Station.

Volunteers from the Bristol International Students Centre (BISC) run a welcome programme. They will be available to help you and welcome you to the UK and to Bristol.

Travel on a different day

You will need to get to the University on your own. When you arrive at the University we will be able to help you settle down with our range of events and services for International Students.
