You need to register:

  • Online - as soon as possible
  • In person - the details will be on your timetable

How to register online

  • You need your student number (at the top of your offer document), family name and date of birth.
  • Check your details are correct.
  • Confirm your acceptance of the Student Agreement conditions.
  • Create a password, keep it secure until you have memorised it.
  • Print out your Certificate of Registration
  • Print out your Pre-registration checklist if one is produced for you when you register online

When to register online

If you have not yet registered online, you must do so as soon as possible.

Pre-registration checks

When you register online, the system may produce a pre-registration checklist for you. If one is produced for you, you must attend a pre-registration check, before you register in person.

You need to register in person to confirm your attendance, collect your UCard and other documentation.

Postgraduate taught students

Postgraduate research students

Registration event details are available on the Postgraduate Registration Timetable (PDF, 34kB).

Postgraduate students who attended a pre-sessional English programme

If you applied for your visa through Student Visa Services

You must register in the Great Hall, Wills Memorial Building on Friday 21 September. Registration event details are available on the Pre-sessional Registration Timetable (PDF, 13kB).

If you applied for your visa elsewhere

You will need to check when and where to register on your Welcome Week timetable.

Items to bring to registration

You should bring a print out of your Certificate of Registration.

If a Pre-registration checklist is produced for you during your online registration, you should bring a print out of this list and any items on this list when you register in person.

Problems with registering

If you cannot register online or cannot print your Certificate of Registration before you arrive, go to the helpdesk in the Wills Memorial Building on Monday 24 or Tuesday 25 September.
