Shops and facilities
There is a Somerfield supermarket just a short walk up the road from Northwell House, and several convenience shops nearby. Gloucester Road has a large number of shops selling most items - bread, fruit and vegetables, and other dry goods - and is a popular shopping street. It is a short bus ride (or walk) to the city centre from just outside Northwell House.

There are a huge variety of pubs, restaurants, cafes, bars and takeaways all within easy distance of Northwell House, mostly situated on the Gloucester Road, Cheltenham Road, or Zetland Road. The popular Whiteladies Road area is also only 20 minutes away on foot.
