The Houses

Student Houses play a major role in University life.  They are in great locations, as you can see on the accommodation map and are within easy reach of the University precinct either on foot or bike.  They vary in size and character and facilities they offer. Montage of images of students and houses

They allow and encourage every new intake of students to create their own living environment (within reason..!).  Residents make their own rules, and live by them, yet there is a framework to deal with those who will not live within these and the University regulations, but which also supports anyone who feels they cannot live with these rules, or who are struggling to adapt to University life.

Along with your fellow housemates you decide if you want to be a social house or flat, or if want to create a quieter relaxing environment for studying.

The style of living is a great learning curve for when you move into living in your own house with your friends in the 2nd and 3rd years.  You will be more accustomed to living with some freedom, not having your bedrooms cleaned, or your dinner cooked for you!

So if you have lived away from home already or fancy a bit more freedom then Student Houses could be right for you!
