Family Accommodation
The Student Houses Office manages 28 University owned flats. They are suitable for couples or families with one or two children under the age of ten. Demand f
or places is extremely high, and priority is given when allocating, to new international postgraduate students.
All the flats are
- Self-contained
- Located within the University precinct area
- Have Gas central heating and hot water
- Equipped with a phone line
- Fully furnished
- Available for 1 academic year only
Accommodation Fees
Accommodation fees for 2011 - 2012 for a 50 week tenancy range from £6150 - £7777 exclusive of gas, electricity and telephone charges.
Additional charges
Residents in the flats are responsible for the payment of gas, electricity and telephone charges.
Meters are read termly and residents are billed by the Fees Office. The current average costs are;
- Gas - £72 per quarter
- Electricity - £59 per quarter
The telephone services are provided by B.T. A basic phone and internet service is offered and residents are able to upgrade to different options through the Student Houses Office. We regret that residents are not able to change to a different phone provider.
