Family Accommodation
The Student Houses Office manages 28 University owned flats. They are suitable for couples or families with one or two children under the age of ten. Demand f
or places is extremely high, and priority is given when allocating, to students with special medical needs and to new international postgraduate students.
All the flats are
- Self-contained
- Located within the University precinct area
- Have Gas central heating and hot water
- Equipped with a phone line
- Fully furnished
- Available for 1 academic year only
Accommodation Fees
Accommodation fees for 2012 - 2013 for a 50 week tenancy range from £7430 - £11250 including gas and electricity.
Additional charges
Residents in the flats are responsible for the setting up and payment of telephone and internet charges where applicable. Resnet is provided (included in the rent cost in 51 SMH, 53SMH and 13 and 14 Osborne Villas)
Insurance
Residents in the flats are required to pay a non refundable insurance payment which covers your personal possessions while you are living in one of our allocated residences. Residents are advised to check the policy for details of cover to ensure it is sufficient.
