Information about External Facilitators

We have a small team of external facilitators who assist us in delivering our workshop programme in the Student Counselling Service. Below is some background information about the faclitators and the work that they do.

Catherine Forrester

Catherine has practiced yoga for the past 12 years, and has been teaching mindful yoga since 2011. She has taught in a variety of settings including schools, a mental health support programme, and a body-positive adult dance programme. Her practice is grounded in the principles of mindfulness, which she incorporates into both movement and meditation. She hopes to make her teaching welcoming and safe for everyone - complete beginners as well as those who might have practiced yoga before.  She is registered with the yoga alliance and has a website for further information: www.helixyoga.co.uk

Pippa Ford

Pippa is a HCPC registered Dramatherapist and currently works in both educational and addiction treatment settings.  She has worked in the addictions field for 16 years and now specializes as a therapist in trauma and attachment work. Pippa is one of the core clinical team at a holistic rehabilitation centre where she has facilitated groups for the past four years, using a creative, action methods approach to therapy. Pippa’s work recognizes the therapeutic importance of creative techniques such as body work, creative play, art-based activities, movement, story and role to help facilitate healing and to empower groups and individuals to express and take charge of their feelings and emotions. Pippa is also a trained yoga and mindfulness therapist for mental health and brings a trauma-informed approach to support individuals to reconnect with, and learn to use their body as a resource.
