Confidentiality policy

We are organisational members of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their ‘Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy’

The Counselling Service also has its own Confidentiality Policy to provide a framework within which we can practice safely and ethically. It details what individuals can expect from us and what we expect from them. If you would like give feed back on this policy we would love to hear from you whether you are a student, a member of staff or a member of the general public.

Whenever you work with a counsellor in the service there will be an opportunity for you to discuss our confidentiality framework and if you make an appointment you will be encouraged to read The Counselling Agreement: a Guide for Students in advance of your first meeting.
