Directions to the Student Counselling Service:
We are based on the third floor of Hampton House. Enter through the main glass doors at ground floor level. Take the stairs in front of you to your left, through the wooden door, or the left hand lift to up to the third floor. The reception area is on your left as you come out of the lift or stairs.
Most workshops and some groups take place in the Student Services Seminar Room in Hampton House, which has a different entrance to the Student Counselling Service, and shares the entrance with the Disability Services.
Directions to workshop venue:
Instead of entering through the main glass doors of Hampton House, walk around the side of the building and walk down the driveway and follow signs for Disability Services. Follow the driveway around to the left, where you will see a car park on your left. Walk across the car park and up the ramp on your left, which will take you to the entrance of the Student Seminar Room. Press number 2 on the intercom, and somebody will open the door for you.
Access to the Student Counselling service is via the lift, which is accessible for wheelchairs. However, in the event of fire people would have to be able to make their own way down stairs, assisted by fire wardens. If this is a problem then we are able to book a room for use in the Disability Service or create a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) with the individual.
We are open every week day during term time and for some sessions during University breaks.
Counselling sessions are available between 9am-8pm Monday-Thursday and 9-5pm on Friday.
