Staff Welcome Fair - Monday 28 January

Are you a new starter at UoB? Find out more about your new workplace!
All new staff in any role are eligible and encouraged to attend the Staff Welcome and Engagement Event on Monday 28 January from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. This event gives you the chance to hear from a member of the University Management Team about our aims and vision, speak to representatives from a wide range of departments across the University, hear about the benefits available to staff members and meet other new starters. If you would like to attend this event, please book your place here. Please note that booking is essential.

The extended seasonal break will hopefully have given us all a chance to take a breather and replenish our energy levels ready for another year. But, as our 2019 to-do lists fill up before our eyes, it's all too easy for the holidays to quickly feel like a distant memory. Looking to improve your fitness or try something new in 2019?
Sport Exercise and Health offer flexible memberships for staff, as well as a range of other opportunities and facilities. Take a look at their webpages for more information.


MyERP: Training for Requisitioners and for Budget Holders/Viewers

IT and Finance run useful training sessions for users of MyERP.
Staff members who need to make regular purchases for their team will need to either attend a face-to-face course on  requisitioning, or use the online guidance to complete the training.
Line Managers and budget holders/viewers can attend regular sessions on how to use the reporting functions in MyERP - book your place here

Microsoft 365 tools: IT skills clinics

If you're still grappling with the many new MS 365 tools available, don't forget that the IT Training team run a number of skills clinics to turn you into a confident Office user. There are regular clinics available on better managing your Outlook email, how to use the file sharing and collaboration tools and a new session on how to make best use of the Microsoft Groups functionality. Places fill up quickly, so get booking!
