Starting to Teach: Postgraduate Researchers

The purpose of this half-day, virtual induction session is to set a foundation for interacting with undergraduate students and helping them to learn. It is designed for post-graduate students who have teaching duties as part of their role at the University of Bristol, but who have little or no experience of teaching in Higher Education. The aim of Starting to Teach for PGRs is to enable postgraduates to acquire the knowledge and skills to establish themselves as confident, enthusiastic and effective teachers who are able to engage, encourage and develop students' learning through different teaching scenarios and settings.

Attendance is required at one half-day, online teaching session.

Sessions run at the start of each teaching block. To sign up to a session please click the title link (see below), which will take you to OnCourse, our online booking system where you can register for the session directly. Places are limited and allocated on a first-come-first-served basis so please ensure you sign up quickly to avoid disappointment.
