The Policy & Politics team is delighted to host co-editor, Dr Elizabeth Koebele, Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Nevada, US, to give a research seminar on Governing Scarce Water Resources through collaboration.


The seminar, followed by questions from the audience, will be chaired by Professor Alex Marsh as Chair of the Policy & Politics Management Board.

The seminar will last an hour, with an optional lunch afterwards. It's free to attend, but tickets must be booked in advance and shown at the venue to gain access.

Speaker Biography: 
 

Elizabeth A. Koebele is an associate professor of political science at the University of Nevada, Reno. Her work focuses on environmental policy.

Koebele's research and teaching interests include collaborative environmental governance, water policy and management in the western United States, disaster policy, public policy theory and qualitative/mixed methods. She is particularly interested in how collaborative approaches to policymaking shape the policy process and its outcomes. 

Koebele is the winner of a 2021 NSF CAREER award to support her research on Colorado River water governance, as well as the 2022 NSHE Board of Regents Rising Researcher award. 

She co-edits the journal Policy & Politics alongside co-editors Dr Oscar Berglund, School for Policy Studies, University of Bristol, Professor Claire Dunlop, University of Exeter and Professor Chris Weible, University of Colorado at Denver in the US.
