Charities: Healthy Minds & NHS Charities Together
“We are so thankful to the University of Bristol for its amazing fundraising and donations through the Great Bristol 10k and Bristol Run Series. The support from the public, spanning both this year’s events and those who chose to donate their registration fees for last year, will help the NHS go further than would otherwise be possible. And with increasing pressures on the service, we need to continue to be there for NHS staff as they were there for us. The money raised will go towards supporting NHS staff, volunteers and patients both practically and emotionally, now and in the longer term as the NHS recovers from the most challenging time in its history.”
- Ellie Orton OBE, Chief Executive of NHS Charities Together

University of Bristol Staff Engagement
"Physical activity is a strong protective factor for mental health, and in recognition of this, the University has agreed to contribute to the cost of the Bristol Run Series 2022 as part of supporting our wellbeing agenda.
Running can be a lone activity, or you can find community in training. At the university you can connect with others in real life with staff running clubs, and online via the University of Bristol Strava group and Runner's Facebook community.
Keep an eye out this term for opportunities to get active, connect with colleagues, or both, in the run up to Mental Health Awareness Week 2022 (9-15 May)."
