"The King of Instruments - a Systems Perspective"
Arthur Lawrence from Safety Systems Research Centre (SSRC).
This presentation discusses some of the engineering requirements and solutions associated with the design and construction of pipe organs. The talk describes how it was possible to modify one organ by adopting a different philosophical view of one set of pipes so that they could be 'moved' from one manual (keyboard) to another by switching one wire.
