Research themes

  • Clinical management
    A successful collaboration between the South West UK Children’s Burn Care Network at The Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. Other partners include the Department of Chemistry at the University of Bath and the Department of Microbiology at the University of the West of England, Bristol.
  • Psychosocial adjustment and support
    Led by the Centre for Appearance Research (CAR) at the University of the West of England.
  • Prevention
    This theme builds upon research collaborations between the University of Bristol, Cardiff University and the University of the West of England, and has projects in primary and secondary prevention of burns and scalds.
