Burns Courses
The Principles of Burn Care
The Burn Care & Rehabilitation course is run by North Bristol NHS Trust and the University of the West of England every year from October to February. Enhance your knowledge and skills in this specialist field through blended learning.
This 40 credit Level 3 / Level M module is aimed at nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, psychologists, counsellors, theatre staff and other professions allied to medicine working in a burn care or relevant practice setting.
The module includes face-to-face days and online study days alongside self-directed study covering a wide range of topics within burn care. The assessment is in two components comprising a presentation and a critically reflective online blog. On successful completion the 40 credits can be used towards a Degree or Masters programme.

Dr Cadogan provides ongoing training to ward staff at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust using a modular programme developed by Changing Faces and London and South East Burn Care Network (LSEBN).
