Infectious Disease Epidemiology
MPES methodology has been applied in a number of infectious disease applications, including: HIV/AIDS, toxoplasmosis, Hepatitis C, Early Onset Group B Strep (EOGBS), and Chlamydia.
These applications differ in their focus and purpose, ranging from national surveillance in the UK, descriptive epidemiology of incidence and/or prevalence, screening, or natural history of the infection and its sequelae.
The work on HIV and Hepatitis C has been in collaboration with Daniela De Angelis, MRC Biostatistics Unit, Cambridge, and her colleagues Mike Sweeting and Anne Presanis; and with Public Health England (previously Health Protection Agency).
