An academic transcript is an official document that shows:
Transcripts can be provided in sealed envelopes with the University stamp to prove that the document is authentic.
We are unfortunately unable to provide electronic versions of transcripts as they are official documents.
If you are a graduate student and need a Verification of Award or would like to request a replacement Certificate, you should contact the University Examinations Office.
Undergraduates are entitled to free copies of transcripts whilst they are enrolled. They will receive one free copy post graduation. Thereafter charges will be applied as follows:
Please note that the policy of one free copy post graduation only began after 2008, therefore if you graduated prior to 2008 you will not be entitled to a free transcript.
Payment can be made by:
The Science Faculty Office
1st Floor, Royal Fort House Annexe
University of Bristol
Clifton
Bristol BS8 1UH
You can get directions and find us on the University Google precinct map.
Normally transcripts are prepared within 10 working days from the receipt of the application, except during busy periods (especially following graduation and the autumn term). It is therefore a good idea to order your transcripts as early as possible to ensure they are ready in time for any deadlines.
If you wish to pick up your transcript in person, please select this option on your request form. If you collect your transcript in person it will save on postage time.
To apply for an academic transcript, please use the transcript request form (MS Word, 59KB) which can then be:

Printed off and completed and then posted or delivered to:

The Faculty Office also provide bank letters for students wishing to open a new account. Please note if you are not staying in halls of residence then we will need to see a copy of your tenancy agreement.
