The Bristol Hub for Gambling Harms Research has launched its Research Innovation Fund Strategic Award to support innovative and interdisciplinary research to understand and tackle gambling harms.

The aim of the Research Innovation Fund is to develop an international network of researchers across the world, therefore any researcher based at an Higher Education Institution (HEI)/university anywhere in the world can apply for the Research Innovation Fund. Grants can only be awarded to academic staff and PhD students, with their supervisor’s permission, based at HEIs, however we welcome non-academic partners as co-investigators (Co-Is).

The strategic awards will run for up to 12 months from August-July each year (e.g., August 2023-July 2024). Awards are expected to be for up to £50K (though in exceptional cases applicants may apply for more than this). We expect to fund up to 8 of these strategic awards per year.

The deadline for applications is 30th June 2023.

For further details about how to apply, please read the guidance and terms and conditions documents on our website.
