  • UKRI research councils including the ESRC and MRC have detailed guidance for peer reviewers.
  • UKRI blogs as to importance of ensuring that the peer review system are fit for purpose and how they are crucial for research's success
  • In the Office of Research Integrity (ORI) introduction to responsible conduct of research Chapter 10 has 7 bullet pointed pages dedicated to peer review.
  • UK Research Integrity Office (UKRIO) has guidance about peer review in their code of practice.
  • In 'Appendix 1' 'section 3' on page 12, the NIHR recommends that 'High quality peer review' must be indepenent, expert and proportionate.
  • COPE provides 'ethical guidelines for peer reviewers'.
