Data to Knowledge (D2K) Research Group

D2K is an exemplar of collaborative cross-disciplinary research in data science and social science related to health and biomedicine.

The Data to Knowledge Research Group (D2K) focuses on methods, tools and infrastructures to support the generation, management, governance, evaluation and analysis of data and information, and their conversion into translatable knowledge and societal impact.

Human interaction and social context are central to data science design, development and application. Whether through long term membership of research studies and institutions that produce raw data, or involvement in the complex cooperative work that enables data sharing across disciplinary and international borders, human beings are at the core of data science.

D2K principal areas of interest include:

  • Bioinformatics and Data Science
  • Epidemiology and Statistics
  • Social Science and Humanities
