Sample processing

Sample types that can be processed and stored by BBL include, but are not limited to:

  • blood
  • saliva
  • urine
  • placenta
  • teeth
  • cell lines.

 A bespoke laboratory information management system (LIMS) ensures traceability of samples at all times.

 Biological samples are processed and stored in accordance with good laboratory practice, relevant health and safety guidelines and to standard operating procedures defined by each study.

 BBL is licensed by the Human Tissue Authority (HTA) and all samples are handled adhering to HTA standards for the research sector, information security guidelines and relevant ethical standards.
