BOASTiC: 2022 Summary

I think it’s really good. I was recommended this course by another surgical trainee who attended a few years ago.

BOASTiC 2022: The Bristol Oxford Surgical Trials Intervention course (BOASTiC) took place as a face-to-face event in 2022.

This 3-day surgical research training event on surgical trials is for foundation, core and specialist trainees of all surgical specialities. It is run by the Bristol and Oxford Surgical Trials Units. Students work collaboratively to learn how to design and conduct RCTs in surgery that answer research questions of relevance to surgeons, patients and the NHS.

In 2022, the event was also organised with input from Aberdeen, and became known as BOASTiC.

The course took place at Worcester College, Oxford on 7th - 9th September 2022.
