Further Devices
While microwave and power semiconductor devices are important devices for today’s technology, semiconductors are also useful for many other applications. We are also developing novel neutron detection systems capable of detecting both fast and thermal neutrons.
These are of relevance for border security as well as for medical applications - such as proton therapy, to monitor and quantify the harmful neutron, which is damaging to human tissue. Boron is incredibly efficient in capturing neutron, and so we are focusing on building devices using semiconductors with high boron content.
