In the Cub room the early years foundation stage is introduced in ways that are suitable to the children, often through play. We build on the children’s existing skills and interests and on their play activities, encouraging the children to become more independent ,they are able to plan and choose what they would like to do, also being responsible for tidying that activity, this encourages freedom of choice and decision making in later life!
They have access to a wide range of toys including construction, role play, small world and many others to cover the six areas of learning.
They have regular access to the outside area where they make great use of the climbing frame and slide as well as other toys including bikes and large scale construction.
Topics are based around children’s interest and cover many aspects of the early years foundation stage. Information about our current activities are available on our notice board.
