Part description |
The lighting of the space was discussed during the two hour set up period immediately before the performance began. The audience enter and leave the space by the 'house lights'. Richard requested a black out for the screening of the video excerpts. Richard feels this extreme shift in lighting scheme makes his relationship with his audience more 'insecure' and so helps him to keep their attention. He also feels an intimacy with the audience during the blackout periods as they can still see his actions by the light of the projector. |
