Bristol scientist to put questions at government policy event

Dr Oliver Payton, Senior Research Associate in the Department of Engineering Mathematics, is taking part in Voice of the Future 2017, a science policy event, at the Houses of Parliament today [15 March].

Dr Payton, a Royal Academy of Engineering (RAE) Research Fellow, is representing the RAE at the event, in which young scientists and engineers have the opportunity to ask members of the House of Commons about aspects of UK science policy.

The panel responding to questions includes the government's Chief Scientific Adviser; the Minister of State for Universities, Science, Research and Innovation; members of the House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee; and the Shadow Minister for Industrial Strategy, Science and Innovation.
