Bristol Professors elected to Academy of Medical Sciences Fellowships

Two Professors in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry have been recognised for their contributions to medical science with their election to the Fellowship of the Academy of Medical Sciences.

Among the 44 newly elected Fellows are David Gunnell, Professor of Epidemiology and Head of Research in the School of Social and Community Medicine; and Tim Peters, Professor of Primary Care Health Services Research, Head of the School of Clinical Sciences, and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry.

Academy Fellows are elected for outstanding contributions to the advancement of medical science, for innovative application of scientific knowledge, or for their conspicuous service to healthcare.

The Fellows will be formally admitted during a ceremony on Wednesday 2 July.
