The Hawthorns refurbishment update

As part of the University's commitment to the student experience, The Hawthorns has been designated a Student Learning Space and will be operational from the start of the new academic year. To achieve this, several areas within the building will need to be refurbished.

The areas affected:

the dining room will close for approximately two months from 23 July,
the Terrace Bar will close for approximately four weeks from 26 July with an anticipated re-opening date of 20 August,
the reception area will be relocated for approximately four weeks to the entrance of the new area of the Terrace Bar from 26 July,
the Refectory will close from 20 August to 24 September.

To ensure a catering service is maintained, the Refectory will be offering the Terrace Bar menu plus specials from the dining room together with a reduced bar facility.
