Professor Miles will be speaking at TEDxBristol, an independently organised TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) event that aims to bring together local thinkers and innovators.
TEDxBristol is organised around the theme of ‘the world around us’ with a particular focus on creativity, innovation and sustainability. The event will showcase the region’s leading thinkers, innovators, artists, philosophers and social business leaders representing such diverse fields as social enterprise, sustainable food, green energy, engineering, education, visual and digital art and game design.
One hundred participants will be selected at random to attend the event from the full pool of applications. Tickets cost £35. Anyone interested in attending the event should register their interest by 28 July on the TEDxBristol website.
Other speakers include Daniel Efergan and Gavin Strange of Aardman Animations, Richard Noble of the BloodHound project and Arthur Potts Dawson of the not-for-profit co-operative social enterprise The People’s Supermarket. The event will be live-streamed.
