Georgie Twigg, a University of Bristol student, scored England’s Bronze medal-winning goal in the women's hockey at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India.

Georgie, a student in the School of Law and Charlotte Craddock, a student in the School of Geographical Sciences, both represented England in the play-off match against South Africa earlier today.

Georgie said: “I’m absolutely thrilled. These have been my first senior international tournaments this summer and it’s just been fantastic.”

Charlotte Craddock also had an outstanding match and came close to scoring herself but was equally as ecstatic with the result.  Charlotte has scored in two of England’s previous matches.
