The University of Bristol has been awarded £500,000 over three years (October 2009 to September 2012) to support the transfer of skilled people both into and out of the University in order to help ensure the exploitation of research funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).

Knowledge Transfer Secondment (KTS) funding can be used to support outward secondments of staff previously engaged in EPSRC-funded research to develop their results in user companies. KTS funds may also be used to support inward secondments comprising EPSRC research projects carried out by individuals employed by user organisations.
