A roundup of recent research grants in the School of Chemistry.

  • £343,130 from the BBSRC to Matt Crump, John Crosby and Tom Simpson, for a project entitled ‘The role of intermediate binding in type 1 & type 2 acyl carrier proteins’.
  • £308,351 from the EPSRC to Guy Lloyd-Jones, for a project entitled ‘Exceptionally strong, neutral, enantiomerically pure diamine bases’.
  • £52,897 from NERC to Richard Evershed for a project entitled ‘Quantifying the biomolecular fate of dietary C & N in earthworm tissues and casts’.
  • £12,000 from Taiho Kogyo Tribology Research Foundation to Wuge Briscoe, for a project entitled ‘Effective molecular architectures for boundary lubrication in water’.
