Research Interests
Mark’s research interests are focused around project management and public sector service delivery. Current areas of research include:
- The influence of cultural theory in project environments, with a focus on risk management practices.
- Performance measurement in the public sector and the impact on change and value.
- Sustainability, with a particular interest on the effects of policy on practice.
Mark (with R Holt) recently contributed a chapter on New Public Management to P. Windrum and P. Koch (eds). 'Innovation in public services: Management, creativity, and entrepreneurship', published in 2008 by Edward Elgar. He also provided two contributions to the ‘Dictionary of Qualitative Management Research’, also published in 2008 by Sage.
