We have created a range of bespoke opportunities for all Business School students to get involved in over the next academic year.

The University’s Careers Service offers a variety of opportunities including:

  • work experience, internship and volunteering opportunities.
  • career development sessions throughout the year on a range of topics such as:
    • exploring career options
    • application and interview skills.
  • networking with industry professionals for inside tips and support.
  • job listings, from part-time roles whilst you study to graduate programmes.
  • tools to help you develop your CV and prepare for interviews.
  • start-up support and entrepreneurial skills building.

1:1 support

  • Mandarin-language careers appointments
  • 15-minute information and advice appointments
  • 30-minute coaching calls for Business School master's students with graduate professional experience.

Careers Fairs

At our Employer Showcase, you can meet employers from business and beyond. Network with employers from various sectors and see what opportunities are available from graduate roles to internships and work experience. Our employers range from international organisations to SMEs.

Professional Liaison Network

Our Professional Liaison Network (PLN) run initiatives and partnerships that connect you to alumni and external organisations related to your academic discipline.

Activities include placements, project mentoring, panels and networking events.

Employability activities included in your units

You will have opportunities to engage with industry experts, work with real-life case studies and experience work-related learning. This will help you develop valuable skills sought after by employers.

The Careers Service at the University is fantastic. I’ve been to a CV drop-in session and workshops from various employers to help further my employability. They also hold multiple careers fairs with some big names attending, so there’s been plenty of opportunity to ask questions to professionals in my industry of interest.
