Research Interests
Daniel's areas of research interest include the use and understanding of interpretive research methods, including narrative inquiry generally and in particular the use of writing as reflective practice. Fields of interest include management consulting, and taking a critical view of the practice of coaching and mentoring within organisations. He is Chair of the Critical Coaching Research Unit at the University of Bristol, a research network of academics, coaches and coaching commissioners. Prior to returning to academia, he enjoyed 30 years of global management consulting practice, specializing in Business Strategy, Organization Development and Strategic Human Resource Management, living and working in South Africa, South East Asia and the USA.
