Dr Patricia Gayá Wicks (research area)

Main research interests/areas

Action research and participative inquiry methods; critical management studies; the intersections between management learning, action for sustainability, and ecological and philosophical thought (including the work of Spinoza, Gregory Bateson, and Freya Mathews). Also a founding member of ARCIO (Action Research and Critical Inquiry in Organisations), a research centre within the Department of Management. 

Availability for PhD supervision and current/prospective areas of interest

• Action research in professional and organisational practice.
• Eco-philosophy, deep ecology, eco-feminism, and contrasts with the mechanistic paradigm.
• Managerial and organisational action for sustainability and ecological well-being.
