Jonathan Beaverstock, Professor of International Management, has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of, Global Networks - a journal of transnational affairs (Wiley).
Global Networks is a world leading journal devoted to a social science understanding of globalization and transnationalism. It’s scope focuses on understanding global flows created by the intersection of corporate capital, labour mobility, and new information, communication and transportation technologies, sustained by all kinds of economic, social, cultural and political networks. Uniquely, Global Networks ranks highly across three ISI Journal Citation Reports (2018: 7/90 Anthropology; 18/83 Geography; 13/148 Sociology).
Jonathan said on his appointment:
“I am absolutely delighted to be appointed Editor-in-Chief of this outstanding interdisciplinary social sciences journal to further advance critical understandings of globalization in such unprecedented times of uncertainty and change. Bringing Global Networks to the University of Bristol will add another rich vein of world class scholarship to the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, and further cement the strong social science identity of Bristol’s new School of Management.”
