Life Sciences Taster Days
These days are designed to give year 12 students a taste of undergraduate teaching as well as some laboratory practical experience, with two different pathway options available.
There is with a Cells and Molecules Pathway on Weds the 24th June 2020 covering Cellular Medicine, Biochemistry and Pharmacology.
The Human and Animal Systems Pathway on Thurs the 25th June 2020 is offering sessions based on Physiology, Biological Sciences, Psychological Sciences and Neuroscience.
There will also be an opportunity to attend a Life Sciences undergraduate taster lecture, receive admissions advice ahead of UCAS applications opening and meet current undergraduate student ambassadors. An optional campus tour will be available at the end of the day.
Each day will run from 9.00am to 4.00pm from the main University Campus (Chemistry Building) and it is the students' responsibility to arrange their own travel but lunch and refreshments will be provided.
This event will be free to students and with just 80 places per day being allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Places will be prioritised and allocated based on a number of different Widening Participation criteria such as attending an Aspiring State Schools or students with no parental experience of HE.
