Life Sciences Taster Days
The Faculty of Life Sciences is delighted to announce that it will be hosting two ‘Life Sciences Taster Days’ in June 2019. The days are designed to give sixth-form students a taste of undergraduate teaching as well as some laboratory practical experience, with two different pathway options available.
There is with a Cells and Molecules Pathway on the 26 June 2019 covering Cellular Medicine, Biochemistry and Pharmacology.
The Human and Animal Systems Pathway on the 27 June 2019 is offering sessions based on Physiology, Biological Sciences, Psychological Sciences and Neuroscience.
There will also be an opportunity to attend a Life Sciences undergraduate taster lecture, receive admissions advice ahead of UCAS applications opening and meet current undergraduate student ambassadors. An optional campus tour will be available at the end of the day.
Each day will run from 9.00am to 3.30pm from the main University Campus (Chemistry Building) and it is the students responsibility to arrange their own travel but lunch and refreshments will be provided. This event will be free to students and with just 80 places per day being allocated on a first-come, first-served basis then book early to avoid disappointment.
