The review period is the first 12 months of employment for academic staff and for professional/administrative staff at grades J and above. The review period is the first 6 months of employment for other support staff.
During the initial service review period, a number of formal review meetings need to take place and be recorded. Personnel Services will contact the new starter’s line manager in advance at each of these points to initiate the process. It is advisable to take the opportunity to review the effectiveness of any reasonable adjustments or flexible working arrangements during these meetings.
