The University has developed its own job evaluation scheme, the University of Bristol Job Evaluation Scheme, or UBJES. This is based on a very well established job evaluation method developed by Korn Ferry Hay Group.
Professional Services roles are evaluated by job evaluation panels applying the UBJES methodology directly to the job description.
Where a manager is recruiting to a new role, or where a vacant role has been restructured or changed substantially, the Procedure for New Role Evaluations should be followed.
Where an individual or their manager believes that there have been substantive and material changes to a role such that this could affect the grade, the Procedure for Re-evaluations should be followed.
