Abstract

Tony Juniper (BSc 1983) the environmental campaigner, writer and sustainability adviser will give the London Branch of University of Bristol Alumni Annual Lecture for 2012.

This event will be followed by a drinks reception.

Biography Tony Juniper is a Special Adviser to the Prince of Wales’ International Sustainability Unit and a Senior Associate with the Cambridge University Programme for Sustainability Leadership as well as adviser to several global companies on their sustainability strategies. He joined Friends of the Earth (FoE) in 1990 and remained there for 18 years; initially as a senior campaigner for tropical rainforests (1990-93) and biodiversity (1993-95), then as Deputy Campaigns Director (1995-97), Campaigns Director (1997-98) and Policy & Campaigns Director (1998-2003), before becoming Executive Director (2003-2008). He also held the position of Vice-Chair of Friends of the Earth International between 2001-08.  In 2010 stood as a candidate for the Green Party in the Cambridge constituency.
