Abstract

In March 2013 Bristol became the first UK city to sign the European Charter for equality of women and men in local life. To implement the Charter the Mayor established a Women’s Commission to draw up a strategy to address areas of discrimination and disadvantage faced by women. One key area identified by the Commission is women’s safety. Join the discussion on how women’s safety can be improved in Bristol and contribute to the work of the Women’s Commission on this crucial issue.
