The University of Bristol is part of a consortium of leading neuroscience institutes and industrial partners to win EU funding of more than five million euros for a pan-European PhD training network.
The network, entitled Synapses: from Molecules to Brain and Diseases, or SyMBaD, focuses on understanding of how neurones in the brain communicate.Professor Zafar Bashir of the Department of Anatomy, is leading Bristol’s involvement in the project.
